We just got back from the New York International Gift Fair! It was a hectic and exciting time for Zayka; lots of great feedback on our products, comments about the booth (we recreated a whole kitchen in a 10x10 space), and a plethora of new ideas for innovative new products. I loved meeting everyone and am looking forward to following up with you. Great people.
The fair had a green, environment-oriented aspect to it that got a lot of people very excited. Considering the latest talk of sustainability we've decided to look into those avenues as well. First stop will be packaging for our Damascus Knives and Ceramic Knife Sets. So much paper and plastic is used in packaging that gets thrown away the second someone takes it home. We're thinking that if the stuff is getting thrown away so quickly... why not make it from stuff that's been already tossed? Packaging from recycled materials. Stay tuned for updates.
